Clarity Laser

Clarity from Lutronic is fast, effective and safe for all skin types. One past limitation of laser hair removal was there were no lasers safe for dark skin.  Older technology used only one laser wavelength, which meant the laser could easily affect skin cells surrounding hair follicles, risking skin discoloration.  Clarity solves this problem by combining two wavelengths: a long-pulsed 755nm Alexandrite and a 1064nm Nd:YAG (which is considerably safer for dark skin).

The long pulsed 755 nm Alexandrite and 1064 nm Nd:YAG in one easy-to-use device that will gently remove pigmented lesions, unwanted hair, wrinkle reduction, and ameliorate the appearance of vascular lesions.

Hair Removal

Clarity’s dual-wavelength system ensures treatment versatility for hair removal for all skin types (Fitzpatrick 1-6).  Clarity allows us much greater control over each patient’s treatment compared to other lasers. We can adjust the wavelengths and intensity, ensuring that you receive the maximum possible results while keeping your skin safe.

How many laser hair removal treatments do I need?

Although it is variable, most clients need a series of six to eight treatments, each spaced about four weeks apart, for optimal results.  Laser hair removal is permanent for the hairs removed during that hair cycle, it’s possible to have new hair growth that is sparser and thinner.  This is most common during periods of hormonal fluctuations, particularly around pregnancy.  In those cases, you are welcomed to visit us for touch-up treatments as needed.

Is laser hair removal painful?

It’s normal to feel some slight discomfort, such as in sensitive areas (like your underarms), but you shouldn’t be pain.  Older lasers didn’t do a great job of cooling the skin after each pulse. Clarity has two cooling mechanisms: a built-in cryogenic spray that instantly cools the treated skin and traditional air cooling.

These cooling methods make each pass of the laser considerably more comfortable—even without topical anesthetic. This quick, highly controllable cooling also adds an extra layer of safety when treating darker skin.

How does laser hair removal work?

Laser hair removal sessions with Clarity™ send waves of safe and effective laser energy deep down into your hair follicles. As those follicles heat up, their natural growth cycle is impacted. It takes a couple weeks, but those targeted hairs do eventually shed away on their own. The  hair grows back finer, thinner, and lighter. With each subsequent treatment, less and less hair continues to grow back until eventually, hair stops growing back at all. Laser hair removal can drastically reduce hair growth in almost all areas of your body.

Am I a candidate for laser hair removal?

The Clarity  system is a  higher-powered  platform laser with breakthrough intelligent capabilities. It has been designed to enable faster more effective treatments for patients of all skin types, while making the treatments easier and more efficient to perform.  So advanced, even if you weren’t a candidate for laser hair removal before, you certainly could be now. It’s still true that laser hair removal is most effective if you have lighter skin and darker hair.
