Our Story
We are an inspired collective of women brought together with the shared vision of enhancing the natural, real beauty in each individual we work with. As women, we have all felt the incessant, unrelenting pressure from mainstream media to look a certain way, and are made to feel less beautiful than we truly are. We have all looked in the mirror at some point in our lives and have felt unworthy, or dare we say, even ugly. Sadly, the standard for beauty has been set by capitalists, and not by health experts. The standard of being a specific size, colour, and age is not realistic or attainable by 99.5% of the population, at least not in a sustainable or healthy fashion. We can recognize the radiance in each individual regardless of age, health condition, ethnic background, or body size. We recognize the wonderful characteristics that make each and every one of you unique.
The ‘Tossed Salad’ approach recognizes that different cultures are brought together, like salad ingredients, and they all bring a unique and distinct contribution to the salad. Similarly, we feel that different people, of different sizes, shapes and backgrounds, are unique in their contribution to beauty, not making any one group or standard superior to the others.
There has been a movement in recent years to not only recognize the beautiful differences in each of us, but to also celebrate the characteristics that make us unique.
