COVID-19 Information

At GlowDerma, our mission is to support our community members on their individual journey of looking, feeling, and being well.
As health experts, we are here to provide a safe and healthy environment for your well-being. Our doors will continue to be open for you as you seek medical attention for your health and wellness needs. We can appreciate and understand that you may be apprehensive about seeking in-person care. We take the health and wellness of our staff and our patients very seriously and want to assure you that we are taking every measure necessary to keep our community members safe.

As of now, medical care by a registered or licensed health professional, is considered an essential service. As such, all of the services provided by our medical doctor, registered nurse, and registered physiotherapist will still be accessible, even during a lockdown.

All of our appointments are pre-booked in advance. We are not open for walk-ins, which will limit the number of patrons in the clinic at the same time. We also requests that our patients be mindful and respectful of other clients and staff, allowing for physical distancing as much as possible.

We are following the Ministry of Health’s guidelines, which state that pre-screening, deep cleaning and sanitization, regular hand washing and physical distancing are key components to our health and safety protocols.

It is also paramount that you feel comfortable and safe during your visit. If you are anxious at all about being around other community members in public, please let us know in advance of your appointment, so we can come up with a solution together that can hopefully decrease your anxiety.


To create a safe and anxiety free environment and in keeping with the recommendations from public health, we have implemented the following protocols:  Prior to arrival, you will receive an email with a link to the Ontario Government Covid-19 Self-Assessment tool. If you are experiencing any symptoms below, please let us know and we will rebook your appointment when you are symptom-free:

• New and-or persistent cough
• Sore throat
• Extreme fatigue
• Fever
• Diarrhea
• Vomiting
• Loss of smell or taste

If you have concerns about Covid-19 you can cancel your booking, without penalty. Upon arrival, you will be screened as per the questions above. The decision to provide services to be a patient will be at the sole discretion of the attending service provider. Your health history, including symptoms of Covid-19 will be kept private. However, we may have to report your symptoms to Public Health, and they will have the ability to contact trace should the need arise.

For our team members at GlowDerma Medical Aesthetics, we have a zero-symptom policy. Staff must complete a self-assessment prior to returning to the clinic each day.

Physical Distancing

Arrival times will be staggered to avoid congestion in our reception area. We will have a no walk-in policy, to ensure that we can keep track of every person who enters the clinic. We do request that you are patient as there may be times where patients are late coming into and out of their appointment. For any admin questions, please ask ahead of time through email. Let’s all do our best to schedule appointments online to avoid spending time at the front desk.

Mask Use and Hand-Washing
Wearing of face coverings while indoors is required by staff and guests. Face coverings will be worn by the staff and are mandatory for patients outside of the treatment rooms. We have disposable face masks available if you don’t have your own or forget to bring it.
All staff are instructed to wash their hands frequently throughout the day and service providers will wash their hands between treatments. The decision to provide treatment to a guest will be at the sole discretion of the service provider.

Our treatment rooms will be thoroughly disinfected between each treatment. We have posted reminders around the clinic to encourage frequent hand washing, physical distancing and the use of face coverings while indoors. Common areas and every treatment room has a HEPA filtration system.  We disinfect high touch surfaces throughout the day and spray down all common areas nightly with our Health Canada approved sanitization products.  This allows us to disinfectant fabrics without leaving residue.
